Clinical Standards & Safety
Our Commitment to Excellence
At Dixon Health, your safety and the quality of your care are our primary concerns. As a multi-clinic practice with over 40 years of heritage, we maintain rigorous standards that exceed statutory requirements to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients across Wiltshire and Somerset.
1. Professional Regulation & Accountability
All chiropractors at Dixon Health are primary healthcare professionals and are statutorily regulated by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC).
- Verification: You can verify the registration of any of our clinicians by searching the official GCC Register.
- Professional Bodies: Our team members hold individual memberships with the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) and the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), ensuring our clinics stay at the forefront of clinical evidence and patient safety in the UK.
2. Patient Safety & Safeguarding
We operate a “Safety First” clinical environment across all our centres.
- Chaperone Policy: Patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation or treatment. Please notify our reception team at the time of booking or upon arrival.
- Informed Consent: No treatment is performed without a full explanation of the diagnosis, the proposed treatment plan, and any associated risks and benefits.
- Clinical Hygiene: We follow strict sanitisation protocols.
3. Data Protection & GDPR
Dixon Health is a registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
- Your Records: Your clinical notes are stored securely using encrypted, GDPR-compliant software.
- Right to Access: Under UK data protection law, you have the “Right to Access” your records at any time. To request a copy, please contact our Data Protection Officer at admin@dixon-health.co.uk.
4. Feedback & Complaints Procedure
We strive for excellence, but we value the opportunity to improve. If your experience has not met your expectations:
- Stage 1: Speak directly with your treating clinician or the relevant Clinic Manager.
- Stage 2: If unresolved, please submit a formal written complaint to our Principal, Josh Dixon, at our Bradford on Avon clinic address.
- Stage 3: If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the General Chiropractic Council or the British Chiropractic Association for independent advice or mediation.
