Richard Witts

Sports Massage Therapist · BA (Hons), PGCE, SMA Member

With over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Sports Massage Therapist—and more than 50 years immersed in the world of sport as both a participant and therapist—Richard brings a wealth of practical knowledge, energy, and empathy to every treatment.

After earning a BA (Hons) in Human Movement Studies with a specialism in Anatomy & Physiology and Exercise Physiology, Richard went on to complete a PGCE in Physical Education and spent many years working as a PE teacher in a local school.

His passion for movement and recovery led him to retrain in Sports Massage, earning a Level 4 Diploma and a Certificate in Strapping & Taping. He is a full member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA), ensuring high standards of professional care.

Richard specialises in Sports Massage and taping, with a strong belief that the body is designed to move. Every treatment is bespoke—tailored to each client’s needs using a variety of techniques to reduce pain, ease tension, support recovery, and restore functional movement.

Outside of his work, Richard lives and breathes sport. He exercises daily to maintain mobility and joint health, and is a loyal Arsenal season ticket holder (he assures Spurs fans they’re still welcome in the clinic!). His other great love is music—he regularly attends gigs and plays bass guitar in several local bands, often performing at community events and venues.

Richard is passionate about helping people become pain-free and achieve their goals, whether sporting or everyday. Whether you’re recovering from injury, dealing with persistent tension, or simply want to keep your body moving well, Richard brings experience, enthusiasm, and a personal touch to every session.
